Michael was my friend of many years, since the 1970s. Although we did not see one another often, I always counted him a dear friend whom I admired immensely. I only today learned of his death, and I miss him, but I know his friends and family are richer for having had Michael during his time with us. Please accept my condolences and my apology for being late.
