Barbara and Charles and family were the closest of John 's relatives to us. Our frequent visits to their home kept us in contact with each other and with others in the Pope clan. Charles was the " family" dentist until he retired. All that was said in Barbara's obituary reflects the woman she was. She had a wonderful long life and will be missed by us. We are sorry that we cannot attend her funeral service. It would have been nice to see the family. Our condolences and love to all of you. John and Gracia Pope

Mrs. Pope welcomed me to their home when Priscilla & I had fall break from DePauw in 1976. We went to their Hideaway cottage & had a wonderful visit. We were able, 41 years later, to welcome Mrs Pope in our Texas home, when she was visiting Priscilla & Jack & family in Dallas. Always the engaging conversationalist, Barbara Pope had a twinkle in her eyes & wanted to learn all about whomever she was visiting. Rest in God's loving embrace, sweet lady.
