I can not begin to say how sorry I am for everyone's loss. Fred was my first love, one I will always carry in my heart. I have many, many memories of our times together. He was so kind, well mannered, and he actually cooked! Fred adored his parents, especially his "Mother," as he would call her. I was fortunate enough to have gone to the Greenbrier with his grandmother and parents. He was generous to a fault and what a great sense of humor he had. I will see him again-
Love,
Deb

“And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
My sincere condolences to the Finlaw family and those who knew and loved Fred on the loss of your dear loved one. May these words of Revelation 21:4 from our Heavenly Father Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) give you a measure of comfort and strength to endure during this time of grief and deep sorrow.
The Bible promises at Acts 24:15 of a resurrection, and John 5:28,29 gives us a real hope of being reunited with our dead loved ones. For more information visit JW.ORG and click on Bible teachings; Can the dead really live again.
Wishing you peace and comfort.

It’s with great sadness and disbelief that we learned of Fred’s sudden passing. As the Finlaws’ neighbors, we barely knew this ‘young’ man. But we on Coventry Court could all say that we loved knowing the delightful Finlaws, Fran and Harry, for years; and we would have enjoyed getting to know Fred and Dory.
My heart goes out to Fran, Fred’s brother and Dory. Such a loss for all the family and friends. We perhaps will never understand this tragic death; but we can all agree that Fred was much too young to leave this earth.
In Deepest Sympathy,
Jean Fredette, Jim Shaw

We so very sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He and Dory were frequent participants in our golf outings and on JD Excursion trips.....His kindness and wit were always the highlight of those outings--it certainly wont be the same without him.
Sincerely wishing Fred's family many prayers and hugs, especially Dory-our hearts are breaking for you and we love you very much.

I am saddened by the loss of my life-long friend. Fred and I roomed together and became good friends when we were in the same pledge class at Sigma Chi, Ohio State University in 1976.
Over the past 40+ years, despite living far apart for most of those years, Fred and I kept in contact and made efforts to get together as often as possible. He treated me to several Buckeye football games. I have many fond memories of meeting Fred and Dorie on campus on game days. We would frequent his favorite restaurants and clubs, meet up with old friends and enjoy all of the game day festivities as a Buckeye Club Member.
Fred always appreciated great food... from Skyline Chili to the Pine Club in Dayton. He also took great pride in grilling out and entertaining friends. I remember Fred having a great sense of humor, playing practical jokes on his unwitting friends. Fred's closest friends appreciated his wit, generosity, endearing loyalty and a zest for life.
We will all miss Fred dearly, my close friend and brother as he enters Sigma Chi's Chapter Eternal. May he rest in peace.
