Obituary of Donald Lee Hall

Donald L. Hall passed away January 19, 2018 at the age of 90.  He leaves his beloved wife, Janet Reynolds and his sons, Gary (Chris) and Brent; 4 grandsons, Benjamin (Jennifer), Scott (Jessica), Bradley, and Ty (Ashley); 3 great granddaughters and a great grandson.  Don had his own painting business, but in the early 60’s he teamed with the Lindner brothers.  Don and Carl Lindner formed Hall Builders, Inc. Don as the general contractor supervised the building of Beechmont Mall, Surrey Square Mall, many Provident Banks, Hunter Savings & Loans and United Dairy Farmers stores.  He also built several homes and apartment buildings for the market.  He was always looking for the next deal and stayed active remodeling homes for himself, his family, and friends.  A lover of history, his interest was piqued when he remodeled the Dixie Terminal Building and was able to rescue from the dumpster some old letters and documents stored in the elevator shafts.  He was a proud member of Masonic Lodge #49.  A private service was held and Don was laid to rest in Fellowship Cemetery, which in 1825 his Gr. Gr. Gr. Grandfather, John Thomas Hall was one of the trustees who purchased the land for the Church and Church yard.  Memorial donations, if desired, should be directed to Indian Hill Historical Society, 8100 Given Road, 45243 or a charity of your choice.
