Obituary of William E. Mack
William E., beloved husband of Doris (nee Campbell), devoted father of Greg Mack, Tom Mack, Jeff (Bev) Mack, Joan (Jeff) Schnirring, Amy (Steve) Bosse, Jerry (Nancy) Mack and Jennifer Mack, cherished grandfather of Chrissy McIntyre, Steven Bosse, Jr., Justin Mack, Ben Mack, Cassie (Ben) Reinzan, Jordin Mack, Andrew Mack, Jeff Schnirring, Jr., and Caroline Mack, loving great-grandfather of Alex, Jade, Riley, Kya, Brycen and Dylan McIntyre and Stella Reinzan. He was preceded in death by his siblings John, Joe, Andy, George, Mary, Ann and Olga Mack. Bill was born in Macdonaldton, PA. After graduation from Berlin Brothersvalley High School, he served in WWII with the US Army, fighting in the 193rd Glider Infantry Regiment, part of the 17th Airborne Division. He was proud of his service and his part in fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he went to college at the Art Academy of Pittsburgh and the Art Academy of Cincinnati. While in Cincinnati he met and married, Doris Campbell. They have been married 66 years. Bill was an employee of GE, retiring as a draftsman after 35 years. Bill passed away on January 1st at the age of 93. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6th from 9AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial 10AM at St. Margaret-St. John Parish, 6000 Murray Ave. (45227). Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Margaret-St. John Jubilee Fund, 4100 Watterson Ave. (45227).
