Dear Sharon and Family,
I came to know Woody, and you too Sharon, as we three were stationed at the Marine Corps Headquarters of the Pacific, Camp Smith, Hawaii in 1965 and 1966. Woody and I were Navy Hospital Corpsman attached to the Marine Corp serving the Marines. Woody and I became friends which has lasted these many years. Woody was a friend who was kind, trust worthy, loyal, and faithful. He had a great sense of humor. We often did things together and had fun doing it with each other and with you. He loved you Sharon very much and I was glad that the two of you got married and were together for these 50 years. Sue and I have now been together for 40 years. I have many wonderful memories being with Woody and with you and Woody. I am very grateful and thankful for those times and memories. I, like you, will miss him. May God be with you Sharon, along with your family and friends, during this time, comforting all of you and giving all of you strength, hope, and love. God bless you and bring you peace.
