Dear Katie, David, Ashley and Jack,
I am so saddened to hear about your mother's passing. Although ones heart can never be prepared for something like this I understand how this is especially hard considering it was very unexpected. I pray the memories will help you through this difficult time.
I will remember Paula and her infectious smile and laugh. I always loved packing up the car and driving to Cincinnati and spend time with all of you. I can vividly remember several events from your house in Blue Ashe. One moment was waking up on Easter morning and having an inside Easter Egg Hunt. Who knows what time our parents actually remembered to hide the eggs and baskets but we were up with the sun ready for the hunt.
Another was Paula in your beautiful backyard during an adult Derby Day party complete with wooden horses, bets being placed and loud yelling. Paula was dressed in a crisp white shirt and pretty big skirt. I thought she was so stylish and she was an effortless hostess. From good food to gorgeous flowers she always had it covered.
It's hard to lose someone so dear who loved me before I was even born. She made an imprint on my heart and I will miss her. She was my Mom and Dad's best friend and just as close as an Aunt to Ryan and me. We will all miss her.
Love - Meghan

Paula,
There were so many things yet to share. So many memories still to unfold.
You were the best friend anyone could ever ask for. So caring, so kind, so funny and charming. Willing to help whenever and for whatever. Did not matter to you.
You were stronger than you realized, loved more than you'll ever know. I will miss you, sweet friend and sister.
Love,
Kathy
