I grew up best friends with Ed in Butler, PA. He was 2 years older than me, and I tended to emulate everything he did- some good and some bad. We were on the same team in Little League. Ed is back row, left end in this photo. Of course, I am right in front of him. I recall how much he looked forward to attending Butler High School, only to have his family move to another district the summer before. I saw him only a few times after they moved, and probably not for more than 40 years. Last night, another childhood friend and I got together, and Ed came up, so I decided to see if I could find him, only to see that he had passed. He was a great friend when we were little.
