We had a special bond with Jack (and Carol) because we had a child late in life. Jack was one of the "real" people in our life. He was a true friend and one of life's joys. I loved to see how he adored his daughter and would do anything to be a part of her life....including coaching his daughter ---and ours---in softball. I will always be grateful to Jack for the time that my 5 year old son, Tony was bleeding from post-op tonsillectomy and I had him at Bethesda North Hospital and was told that I had to get him to Children's by ambulance. I felt so comfortable when "SugarBear" walked into the Emergency Room and said that he was taking us down to Children's and I could stop worrying! I will bet that he and Ted are having a grand time partying together now! Prayers for all of us left behind.
