Nancy, I'm very sorry that I couldn't attend Cathy's Wake and Mass of Christian Burial today. Unfortunately I was transporting a friend to an appointment with her surgeon and she had no one else to drive her. I remember your Mom with fond memories of our days at St. Gertrude and the many things we were involved with: PTA; Rosary Altar Society; cleaning the Sisters' quarters before they returned from Nashville during the days when the nuns lived upstairs; and so many other activities. Cathy was one of the kindest, most gentle people I've ever known. She and your Dad were both very loving and caring people. I'm sure you miss them both. May God be with you in the coming days as you work through your sorrow and grief. Jerry and Susan Hellmann.
