I met Mary in 2000 on a European doll tour. She helped me pick a doll at a Viennan flea market. We took pictures of each other in an old watch tower on the boarder between West and East Germany. I was A relatively new doll collector at that time. Mary was a wealth of knowledge. I had so much fun getting to know her. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed by all in the doll world.

Mary was a gem. We'll always cherish the time we spent with her playing dolls. We are shocked by her passing as we just talked to her weeks ago and planned a dinner at UFDC.
Tom was Mary's 'ace in the hole' who helped her numerous times with her slides during presentations. Our dolls are featured in several of her books. She was alwauy thrilled with the quality of Tom's photography. Terry's dolls were always the stars of Mary's books.
She will be missed and remembered by all of her friends.

Dear Herb and Family --
I am so very sorry to learn of Mary's death this past Sunday. Mary was Chairman of my class of Apprentice Judges beginning in the Fall of 2008. Mary was positive and so very encouraging to me in the papers I wrote for the class and helpful with my article for Doll News. Needless to say, I have all of her books and use them for enjoyment and knowledge -- my two favorites are "A Pictorial Reference Guide for German Chinas" and
"500 Years Of German Doll Making"!
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Sincerely,
Donna Landis

Lee, Heather & Family,
My brother Mike told me of the passing of your mom. I recall meeting her a few years ago at a Night In White. However, I had no idea what an accomplished woman she was over they course of her 79 years. What a loss this is to you, your family and friends.
Please know that she will be remembered in our daily prayers.
She raised a wonderful and caring family. I'm sure is with our Lord today.
God bless,

So sorry to hear about Mary. My favorite memory of her was seeing her up on a ladder, dressed to the nines in a hand painted leather skirt, hanging Xmas decorations at th e Woman's Club. An elegant lady at work!
