For my father, a man who loved his family and saw the beauty in the world. He shared his talents of music, art and storytelling, and shared his love. He is remembered by family and friends for being the loving soul we knew. I love you dad.

It was with great sadness that I learned yesterday of Paul's passing. We had become close during the "Dos Yanquis" segment of his life and saw each other intermittently during the years. I opened a long ago packed box a few months ago to find a garrishly bright yellow hat with "Banana Daze" emblazoned on it. A gift from Paul for a golf tournament that if memory serves was made up of good tequila and bad golf. I will miss his wit, intelligence and contagious laugh and smile not to mention the nights we waxed pseudo-eloquent into the night. Rest easy , my friend. Bruce Allen

To the Jacob family: I had the pleasure of working with Paul at a private mansion in Newport, RI. He was one of the most unique, clever, smart, gifted men I've ever had the pleasure to know. He was a brillant chef who taught me many, many recipes. I don't think I ever saw him not smiling. His loss will be felt in the Newport community. Ann Cataloni

Too many to write here. But, I will always remember the first and greatest little Mexican restaurant in Newport and the life Paul gave it. The restaurant that taught Brick Alley how to make nachos. The start of Sunday jazz in Newport and the great Banana Daze time when everything was just that; BANANAS! Many nights of philosophy at the bar, even after hours, with Peter, John, Marty and others who gravitated to an air of eclectic, off-the-wall, and intellectually diverse conversation.
Time moves on and Paul I am so blessed to have shared bits and pieces of time with you. Thank you.
You and Peter- have a shot on me.
Love,
Walt
