Obituary of Dale Streid

STREID Dale D. loving husband of 53 years to Mary Streid, father of Jennifer Streid-Mullen of Ithaca, NY and Bill Streid of Dayton, OH, grandfather of Chris Mullen and Andrew Mullen, brother of Elizabeth Wahls. Passed away on Wednesday, July 21st at the age of 95. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 26th at Old Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church at the corner of Drake Rd. and Indian Hill Rd. in Indian Hill from 10AM until the time of funeral service at 10:30AM. In a 40 year career with General Electric, Dale Streid was a major innovator and contributor, first in the development and manufacture of turbosuperchargers and then in the birth of the jet engine business helping the company become a dominant force in aircraft technology. A holder of seven patents, Dale Streid received GE's Coffin award in 1946 and was inducted into the Jet Propulsion Hall of Fame in 1985.
