CLASEN Robert H., born Oct, 4, 1919 in Cincinnati, died peacefully on December 26. He graduated from Western Hills High School and Miami University where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. After graduation from Miami in 1942, he joined the Army, rose to the rank of Captain and served two years in Europe during World War II. There he met his future wife Dorothy who was serving in the Red Cross. Bob had a long and successful career as an independent insurance broker in Cincinnati. He was a strong supporter of Miami University, an intrepid world traveler, an amateur genealogist, an avid golfer and all-around sports fan. He was a former member of the Hyde Park and Sara Bay Country Clubs. Bob's wife Dorothy predeceased him in 2009 after 62 years of marriage. He is survived by son Bob (Pat) of Chicago, son Bill (Kathy) and daughter Nancy (Randy) Bartell and five grandchildren: Chris, Ryan, Allison Bartell and Reid and Brad Clasen. Visitation will be at Twin Lakes Retirement Community, 9840 Montgomery Rd. (45242) on Saturday December 31 from 9:30AM until the time of funeral service 11AM.
