Ruth Ann was a mentor to me in the professional nurses association when I was a very young nurse in Cincinnati in the 70's. She was a caring person who was always committed to the betterment of people and the nursing profession. She delighted in welcoming new nurses into the association. Even if she disagreed with your opinion, it was always presented in a respectful manner. I always enjoyed reconnecting with her at Ohio Nurses Association conventions.

What beautiful memories of Ruth Ann! From our first meeting in 1983, she was everywhere doing what she could to promote togetherness in the community. Her presence and encouragement in the formation of MEAC and the rehab of the old clinic building as its first home was a constant source of strength. Well done, faithful servant.

Ruth Ann will be remembered by everyone who ever met her. With a friendly smile, a confident hello, and a welcoming pat on the back, Ruth Ann was always happy to get to know someone new. Her dedication and commitment to so many Madisonville organizations and institutions will long be remembered. I doubt there will ever be anyone like her again. I loved that Ruth Ann wanted to be involved in everything, that she accepted invitations, and that she constantly volunteered her time for the betterment of the community. Just 3 weeks before her death, she managed a water table at St. Anthony during the Madisonville 5K! She was a bright light in Madisonville. All of us must work in the years ahead to ensure that Ruth Ann's spirit and dedication to the neighborhood is never forgotten. She will be missed by many. My condolences to Bob and the family. Sara
