As pastor @ Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, Silverton, OH 1972-1983 I together with my goodwife Sandra and family remember with great and abiding gratitude to God the many kind expressions of hospitality extended us by John and Eleanor. The two of them were truly God's saints among us. John's workroom was an awe-inspiring assortment of precision tools (I yet have one of his scale model cannons at my desk which, in deference to my commitment to non-militancy, has a non-firing wood stock never given to 4th of July fodder). Eleanor's kitchen was ever the source of delightful tasties often shared in the screened in back porch. From all those memories and more we are convinced that heaven is richer for the two of them together. retired Pastor Richard & Sandra Tietjen
