Chip, I wish there were words to provide you, Ellie and Ben with solace and peace during this difficult time. What you and Merilee shared was very special. She knew you were the one from the time you first met at the Mucky Duck. I will always remember her quirky sense of humor, her positive outlook, and her general compassion for others. What an amazing witness Merilee has been to the power of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to overcome the most difficult circumstances imaginable. And what an impact she is having for the Kingdom of God for those who know her, and will have in the future on the many who didn’t know her but will hear the story of a pure hearted, joy-filled, courageous woman who fought the good fight for years and years without bitterness or self-pity, and her loving husband, Chip, who was there with her every step of the way to witness to the reality that love never fails and that we are not meant to know everything here on earth because God’s ways are not our ways, and so often far beyond our ability to understand, but that His plan is perfect and it is fulfilled to perfection for those who love Him and have the faith to believe.
