I met Mike in 1992. He was my counselor. I can remember how caring he was with our group, and that we really felt like not only could relate to what we were going through, but honestly wanted see the rest of us little heathens turn our lives around. I remember practical jokes played on other staff members, that he would get an entire group of 40 kids in on!
To his family. My heart is heavy with the terrible suddenness of your loss. 40 is way too young. There are no words that can take away the hurt you are feeling, only time and the love of family and friends. Like everything else he did in life, I'm sure he loved you all with everything he had and will be watching over you, and wanting you to continue on and with a smile in your heart, even when it feels too hard to have on on your face. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
