We are so very sad to lose such a wonderful person. John was the best next-door neighbor that you could ever have. No matter what it was, be it family, friends, neighbors, or his lawn, he did it with an ever-present smile and infectious laugh; he brought them both with everything he did. We will deeply miss seeing him and his riding lawn mower.

Dear Overman Family. John has gone to the place we're all working to attain. God bless him. LOVED the picture of John in the paper--bright eyed and mischievious--his great personality shining through. While we'll miss him, the Lord will truly enjoy his company.

John was such a powerful spirit, and never went at anything "halfway". He motivated people all around him just by virtue of his zeal and sheer energy. I was fortunate to work with John for about 5 years at Hamilton Fixture, and enjoy the benefit of his experience, approach, and friendship. Thank you John, you will be missed.

I was very lucky to work with (Johnny Overtime) as he was named in the plant at Hamilton Fixture. I worked with John for over 25 years and the man taught me a lot. John was a great family man that had one of the best business minds of anyone I ever worked with and was generally a super person and he will be sadly missed.
Our prayers go out to Phyllis and their family.

All of John's statements started with "All you have to do is…." and an insightful solution was presented.
I remember John as a keen minds in the store fixture industry and a great example of how to live out life. His friendship and care was evident in all areas of life. John always was truly a man of integrity.
We won't say "Goodby" my friend, just "See you later".

One of the biggest personalities at Hamilton Fixture. A great leader, mentor to many and a caring father. (I will never forget how tickled and proud John was when one of his kids made the debate team. I think it was one of the girls?) I have fond memories of his stories. I was blessed to work with John early in my career. RIP John O

I had the pleasure of working with and for John O for 19 years. My Mentor & Friend will be greatly missed. I will forever miss our strategy meetings where John would always remind me to concentrate on winning the war not just the battle in front of us. He would always tell me, "Don't worry, we will get it back somewhere else" and sure enough, he always figured out a way to get it on the back end. John always had an amazing high energy level and I can hear his unforgettable laugh now as he is looking down on us. Many lessons learned from John both work and personal that will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace my friend and my deepest condolences to your family and friends.

I worked with John on and off for 7-8 years. It was an honor and a privilege being mentored by him. There are about 5-6 people in my 40-ish years of life that I can look back and say "he/she made a difference in my life", and John is part of these aforementioned 5-6 people. I still use his teachings in my daily life. My sincere condolences to his family, as a positive difference maker has left this world for the next.
