I was deeply saddened to read of Helen's passing today. Her brother William was my grandfather. Unfortunately I never got to meet him, or Helen that I remember. I do remember when I was a child Helen would call our house and talk to my sister and I now and again. I remember her as the mysterious lady who would call now and then but we didn't know. What a wonderful person Helen was to take the time to check up on two children she didn't see. I've been trying to learn about my grandfather and his family over the past several months and had hoped to meet with Helen and talk to her about him. I always wanted to know if it was her and Charles or maybe her brother Earl that brought my grandfather by the house in the early 80's. I think they were driving a convertible. Unfortunately my dad wasn't there and they didn't stay. Those phone calls that I've remembered all these years didn't seem that important until recently. I'll always be thankful for having some contact, albeit brief, with such a wonderful woman.
