Ruth Stuebbe

Obituary of Ruth M. Stuebbe

Ruth “Bootsy” Stuebbe, age 95, passed away peacefully in her Madeira home on Tuesday September 3, 2024. Ruth was born in Covington to the late Joseph and Josephine Keller. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: William H. Stuebbe, siblings: Joanne, Rosemary “Rosie”, Alice, Thomas, Virginia “Ginny”, and Helen “Honey.” Ruth is survived by her loving children: Philip Stuebbe and Paul (Susan) Stuebbe and her granddaughter Catherine Stuebbe, sister-in-law: Jodi Keller and brother-in-law: Frank Wichmann. Loving “Aunt Bootsy” to many nieces and nephews. Ruth graduated from Our Lady of La Salette Academy and worked as a secretary for several downtown Cincinnati firms until her marriage. She easily transitioned from the “work of commerce” to “work of the family.” Ruth embraced her role of wife and mother as a vocation and way of life to use her gifts and talents in the service of her family—nurturing, caring, and homemaking. She enjoyed spending time with family, walking in the park, visiting the zoo, playing cards or board games and building puzzles. Ruth was woman of deep faith and a devoted member of St. Gertrude Parish for 58 years. Visitation will be held in the parish center on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 12 Noon until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, 1:00 PM at St. Gertrude Parish, 6543 Miami Avenue, Madeira (45243). Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to a charity of your choice.
