Obituary of Richard H. Ambrose

Richard H. Ambrose, age 71, passed away on Friday July 12, 2024. Rich was the beloved husband of Mary Ambrose (Corsmeier) who he affectionately referred to as ‘Sweetie’ for almost 46 years of marriage. Rich was the father of four children - Sarah (Brad) Downs, Kelly (Adam) Rath, Matthew (Courtney) Ambrose, and Nicholas (Bailey) Ambrose. He loved his children beyond measure. Rich is also survived by his eight precious grandchildren- Audrey, Max, Reagan, Savannah, Amelia, Oakley, Quinn, and Archie, who called him their ‘Pappy.’ Rich was a cherished brother to Roseanna (John) Stanton and Janet Ambrose, and to Eileen (Bob) Miller, Mary Ann Corsmeier, and Donna (Dan) Bain. He loved his many nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors, and colleagues dearly. Rich had a special dog named Auggie, who he enjoyed training and taking on walks. One of Rich’s greatest joys was helping others as a loan officer for 31 years. Rich also was a sports fanatic, and he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play. We will always remember Rich as one of the most caring, spirited people, and his absence will be felt by many. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood from 10:00AM until the time of a closing prayer at 12:45PM.
