Oh my old colleague, my teammate, my friend- I will always remember our many and countless hours together on paper mill floors, basements, trailers and hotels! You made me crazy at times but you always brought me balance- the eternal optimist, always a different view of the fire burning on the hill! You made my laugh, you made me nervous, you made my smile! I will always remember our last formal day together as coworkers, you made the process easy on me because that is the kind of person you are, you made me cry that day. I am so grateful that Rusty and Sydney were just three hours away from my father when he had his heart attack in Canada. The six of you got in the car and drove straight to the hospital without any hesitation. It made me feel better knowing that you were there with him until my mother could arrive from South Carolina. She appreciated you being there when she arrived. It was nice of you to stay there for a few more days to be with them.
I know my parents treated you like family for the six months you lived with them when you first began working at AMEC in Greenville. I know how much you enjoyed their southern cooking! All of that hospitality, and in return, you only had to cut the grass now and again:)
I know you left this world comforted in knowing that Sydney and the kids have my parents right down the road in Anderson watching out for them. Owen always gives my mom the biggest hug. He will make sure for you that the food continues to be enjoyed.
