Obituary of Helene Scheuing

Please share a memory of Helene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Helene was born in Germany on January 29, 1919, and immigrated to the United States in the 1950s. She was a widow when she married her second husband, Karl (whom she met in Germany), in Cincinnati on October 14, 1955. He also formally adopted her then teenage daughter. Helene enjoyed life and taking care of her family. She and Karl were often seen during the summer months at Coney’s Sunlight Pool where they swam laps every day. During the winter months they enjoyed walking on the beach and swimming in the ocean at their West Palm Beach, FL condo. She continued wintering in FL with her daughter and son in law after Karl passed away in 1998. On Sunday February 12, 2023, Helene left this world after 104 years to be with friends and family who predeceased her. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, both her husbands (Joseph Heeb [of Germany] and Karl Scheuing), her daughter (Waltraud Jansen), and her son in law (Hans Jansen). She will be greatly missed by her surviving grandchildren: Christel Jansen and Norbert (Karen) Jansen, 3 great grandchildren: Brennan, Evan, and Savannah Jansen, and a half brother who still resides in Germany. Visitation and Burial will be private for family only. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to Hospice of Southwest Ohio.
