I’ve known Denny since the late 60’s. He’s one of the main reasons I joined the Jaycee’s. A great group for young men to be associated with. Denny came up with the idea of the first WSAI haunted house. With his leadership it became a tremendous success and was recognized and copied by other Jaycees around the Country. The funds from the event allowed us to donate a mobile show trailer to the city of Cincinnati and purchase a 10 person van for the Children’s unit at Longview Hospital.

When his brother, Patrick died. Denny was there at the funeral home and immediately said that he would pay for everything. I will always love him for that; we (his immediate survivors) could not have given Patrick the services that he deserved. I have so much respect and love for Denny and hope those late McKeowns are at least trying to get along in heaven.

To my uncle Denny, you will be missed. You inspired me to care about plants, the beauty and the pride of a simple and well-cared-for yard, as well as the prestige and artistry of landscapes blooming with color and lushness. And while my vision sometimes overshoots my ability, I think fondly of the summers working first at Natorps, then Bloomin', and everything I learned from you.
While my godfather, Tim, and my father Patrick proceed you in death, I know that heaven will be that much more colorful with your brothers.
