Obituary of Robert Klahr Veith

Robert Klahr Veith (92) passed away on December 5, 2022. He was born on June 1, 1930, to Daniel and Bertha Veith in Loveland, Ohio, the youngest of four: Dorothy Veith Koch, Albert Veith, and Daniel Veith. Bob graduated from Loveland High School where he was the quarterback of the football team and short stop on the baseball team. He served in the Navy reserves in High School. After graduation, he served in the Air Force from 1950 until 1954. Bob married his high school sweetheart Mary (Ottopal) Veith in 1955 who predeceased him in 2018. They were married for 62 years. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Bob worked in management for Allied Supermarkets, Thriftway, and Husman Snack Foods before his retirement in 1992. Bob was the father of John K. (Tracey) Veith and the late Roger L. (Karen Veith Sweets) Veith. Devoted grandfather of Alexandra (Clark) Seiling, Nathanial (Heather) Veith, Hannah (Morgan) Munizza, Patrick Veith, Matthew Veith, Michael Veith, Abbey Veith, and MacKenzie Veith. Great-grandfather of Audrey Veith, Griffin Veith, Noah Veith, John Seiling, Roger Munizza and Marie Munizza. He was a long- time member of Madeira Presbyterian Church and formerly active in the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. A strong competitor in every phase of life, Bob was a man of strength and grace. He was the consummate gentleman. He was a fun loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. The Funeral and Visitation will be on December 9, 2022, at Madeira-Silverwood Presbyterian Church, 8000 Miami Avenue, Madeira, Ohio 45243. Visitation from 9:30 am with the Funeral service following at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or Madeira-Silverwood Presbyterian Church.
