Adell Elliott Adell K. (nee Knight) Elliott passed away on September 29, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Elliott. Adell was the mother of Dale B. Elliott (Ruth) and Shelly L. (Darrel) Miller and is also survived by grandchildren Sean (Lisa), Andrew (Kacie) and Nathan (Harley) Elliott, Sarah Miller and eight great-grandchildren. Adell loved choral singing, gardening, puzzles, hand-written correspondence, the English language and wordplay. She savored new as well as lifelong friendships and enjoyed many adventures with Don including European and Asian bicycle and river trips, flights in Don’s small Cessna and motorcycle rides. Born in Evanston, Illinois and raised in Arlington, Virginia, she married Don and moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1954, where she raised a family and worked as Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Ohio BMV and as church secretary. She and Don moved to Cincinnati in 1985. A woman of faith, she was active in the choirs, lives and missions of the four Presbyterian churches she attended for over 80 years. A memorial service for Adell will take place Saturday, October 23rd at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Twin Lakes retirement community, 9840 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45242. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Alzheimer’s Disease Research (22512 Gateway Center Dr, PO Box 1950, Clarksburg, MD 20871).
