My condolences. I had the pleasure of getting to know John through Science Fiction Book Club. He always had an interesting tidbits to share which made our reads more enjoyable. I was blessed to have known him. He will be missed. My prayers go out to the family and friends.

John was an amazing intellect on many subjects. His facetiously gruff exterior amused him as well as the listener, once the listener caught on. He enjoyed Mensa and was appreciated for his vast knowledge from his varied life experiences as well as his readings. He shall be missed.

Sorry to hear of John’s passing.
I remember him from growing up in the same neighborhood with him working at the Deer Park Library. A job that was a harbinger of his extensive scholastic capacity and achievements A towering intellect that was as multi-faceted as the life he lived.
