Obituary Marilyn Joy Powers (2/10/37-8/15/2021) Marilyn Joy Powers passed peacefully at the age of 84 Marilyn was proceeded in death by her mother and father Delores and George Benhase. Sister Janice Albright. Husband and love of her life Joe Powers. Sons Joshua and Jimmy Powers. She is survived by her 6 children daughter Kay Gatherwright, husband Mike, son Joe Powers, wife Kim, son Greg Powers, son Todd Powers, daughter Missy Luckey, husband Steve, and son Christian Powers. Marilyn is also survived by her brother Jim Benhase and sister Karen Stolze. Marilyn adored her 12 grandchildren, Jenny, Joe, Laura, Becky, Phil, Adam, Cameron, Bryan, Julie, Zack, Torie and Lily. Blessed with 8 great grandchildren Jack, Evie, Matthew, Nicholas, Vesper, Juno, Giuliana, Lucianna. Marilyn graduated from Regina High School. She enjoyed sewing, collecting teapots, playing Scrabble, shopping, working, singing and dancing and spending time with her family. Marilyn made friends everywhere she went. She retired from Servatti’s bakery in February 2021, BOY did she love doughnuts! She was loads of fun and one of a kind, she did not postpone joy! A life well lived and touched many hearts along the way. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN (38105).
