Obituary of Gail Hucker

Gail Lynn Hagerty-Hucker (nee Tedesco)

Gail passed away at Hospice of Southwest Ohio in Madeira surrounded by family and friends on November 12, 2018. Gail was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on October 20, 1953, daughter of the late Carl Tedesco and the late Barbara (Ehlers) Tedesco.

Gail’s family and friends will miss her kindness and strength, lively spirit, and infectious laugh. She was an avid reader of novels and newspapers, and loved rock and roll music.  Gail lived in Cincinnati most of her life. She graduated from Madeira High School in 1971, and worked at the Cincinnati Post, the Cincinnati Enquirer, and Positrol Inc.

Gail is survived by her beloved son Matthew Hagerty, daughter-in-law Brett, and granddaughter Margot Harris Hagerty due in February 2019. Matt and Brett live and practice law in Las Vegas. Gail is also survived by her brother Bill Tedesco of Jeffersonville, Indiana; her sister Carol (Tedesco) Bladh and brother-in-law Glenn Bladh of Loveland, Ohio; and her nieces Allie (Tedesco) Kojak, Kelsey Bladh, and Kirsten Bladh. Gail was predeceased by her past husbands Kim Hagerty and Michael Hucker, and her nephew Michael Tedesco. 

Visitation will be held at Thomas-Justin Funeral Home, 7500 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, on Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a gathering for family and friends. Donations may be made in Gail’s name to Save the Animals Foundation, 4011 Red Bank Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45227.  Donations may also be made to the Hospice of Southwest Ohio, 7625 Camargo Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45243.
