Obituary of Gayle E. Blais

Gayle E. (nee Eason) Blais, treasured mother of Jolie Harris, Mark Harris, Scott Harris, and Robin Harris Jackson (George). Cherished grandmother to Christopher Cartheuser, Lauren Cartheuser, and Brooke (Jerel) Bristol. Proud, loving great grandmother to Novalee, Theo, Mason, and Adonis. Stepmother to Rob Blais, Susan Blais, Sheila (Hank) Cook, Michael Blais, and Betsy Blais. She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Robert A. Blais and Joseph W. Harris. Gayle was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 11, 1932, to Norman W. Eason and Esther J. (nee Kassner) Eason. She graduated from Withrow High School where she performed as a featured dancer in the Withrow Minstrels. She danced professionally in her young life at many of the iconic venues of the time, such as the Beverly Hills Supper Club. Gayle also worked as a professional model for many years. But her true passion was being dedicated to raising her children, keeping a beautiful home, and caring for her family. Gayle passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, February 20, 2024, at the age of 91. Gayle’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service, 12:00PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
