Obituary of John E. Wallis

John Edwin Wallis, age 92, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023, at The Kenwood by Senior Star in Cincinnati, OH. He is survived by his devoted wife Juliann (nee Mack), and three children, Brad (Cathy) Wallis, Mindy (Steve) Rosen, Susan (Jeff) Smith. He was the adored grandfather to Brian, Sarah, Mary, Colin and Nick, and fun-loving great-grandfather to Jacob, Mark, Cecilia, and Rose. Born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Danville, IL, he graduated from Milliken University and had a rewarding career as an executive in the grocery industry including Kroger, Mayfair, Valu King, and Giant Eagle. John and Juliann moved many times over the course of their 71 years together and always made fast friends with their neighbors in Youngstown, OH, Hilton Head Island, SC, Cashiers, NC, and Cincinnati, OH. His love of golf included achieving a hole in one at the Oyster Reef Golf Course on Hilton Head Island in 2000. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hospice of Cincinnati.
