I have many great memories of growing up with the Scherpies as we so fondly called all the boys. Mr. Scherpenberg's dedication to his family was always front and center. Mr. Scherpenberg will remain in my heart forever. As a kid growing up I remember him tossing us kids around the pool at the swim club, on his riding lawnmower in the front yard, training his dog in the backyard, lifting weights in the morning hours, and singing in the St. Gertrude's choir with my mom at midnight mass. He was a great example of how to be a man then and he is now and forever.
