Tom and family was sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. As I have gotten older and play with my own kids I truly appreciate the fun and freedom that our mom's let us have and how we were able to just walk to each others house and knock on the door and let the fun begin. Something you certainly can't do today. One of my best memories as a kid was going over to your house and exploring the woods behind your house. Take care and if you are ever in Chicago give me a call (312) 925-6835. Pete

Dear family of Peggy McDonald, Most of you don't know me but our fathers worked together for Arthur Young & Co. in the 70's and 80's. I was Barb's big sister at Ursuline Academy 1973-1974. I met your mother a few times and remember how kind, warm and friendly she was towards me. I also remember how my mom always enjoyed sitting with your parents at Arthur Young functions because your mom made her feel comfortable and welcome. When dad told me your mother had died, I wanted to send you a note of sympathy but having no address for you, Barb, I decided to send this via internet/funeral home. May your faith knowing that your mom and dad are reunited in heaven with our heavenly Father bring you comfort and strength at this difficult time. Always remember those dear to us never really leave us, they live forever in our hearts through the love and traits they gave us. May God bless all of you and surround you with love and peace. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. With Sincere Sympathy, Diane McHargue Sundrup

Dear McDonald Family, First of all let me say how sorry I am for your loss. I did not know your mother for very long, but feel I did get to know her. She was a wonderful lady full of humility, grace and strength of character. I so enjoyed getting to know her and loved her stories of growing up in Brooklyn and what it was like to be raised in a Scottish/Irish family. She raised wonderful kids and you were so blessed to have such a loving, caring mother. You were like stars to her. Even on her bad days, her face would light up when one of you came into the room or the phone rang and it was one of you, her kids on the other end. And your children, HER grandchildren, well they were superstars, the best, smartest, most wonderful. I know, for she told me. I truly enjoyed my time with her and getting to know you as well. Continue to love one another and take care of each other. Fondly, Janet

Sorry to learn that Peg has joined the bridge club and bowling girls in heaven above. What a great Mother she was raising a family of which she was rightly proud. She, Hughie and all the kids were great neighbors and friends for many years. We will keep her in our prayers. The Bourgrafs

Dear Barb, Eileen, Maryann, Tom & Danny, I remember your mother with fondness. She welcomed me whenever I appeared no matter how crazy the house was with 5 kids. Whether in Sturbridge, Indian Hill or KCC, she seemed to always have a compliment or smile. Peg was a good friend to my mother in her elder years which she greatly appreciated. My thoughts & prayers are with you at this sad time. I hope that the love and support of your friends and family is some solace at this sad time. Love, Andrea

Extending our deepest sympathy to your family in the loss of your mother. We will miss chatting with her over the fence, sharing our mutual political views. Being a fellow pet lover, she kept an eye out for us and always let us know when one of our dogs escaped and was on the loose. We are keeping you in our prayers. Rose and Ben Jansen
