WWII WENDEL Jack P., beloved husband of the late Alice (nee Glenn), dear father of John Wendel, Shirley (Roger) Seaman, Raymond (Leslie) Wendel and Bob (Nancy) Wendel, devoted grandfather of Jackie (Bill), Mindy (Charles), Lisa (Chris), Roger (Audra), Eric (Mara) and Jennifer, great grandfather of six, and brother of Margaret Merz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends. Jack served three years in the Army during WWII, 15 months of which were in the European Theater in combat. Jack owned and operated T.V. Stores Service Company in Golf Manor for over 40 years, serving the tri-state area, a business he had built from the ground up. Everyone who knew him, knew him to be fair and honest and well respected by his customers. He took care of his customers into the evenings and on weekends and even after his "retirement" he would still service friends and loyal customers. At 75 years of age he took up bicycling, averaging over 3,000 miles a year. He met and had many friends on the Loveland Bike Trail. He became an inspiration to many on the bike trail. Jack will leave behind a family and many friends who loved and respected him. Passed away on Monday, May 17th at the age of 87. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, May 21st from 10AM until the time of the funeral service 12noon at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd, (45236).
