Obituary of Grace E. Seibel

Grace E. Seibel (nee Fischer), 90, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 12, 1934, in Madeira, Ohio, Grace dedicated most of her life to her husband and 4 children, and was “Grammy” to her 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (Smokey) Seibel, and her two sisters, Carolyn Hill and Mary Baker. Grace is survived by her children, Lynn (Dave Campbell) Lukey, H.J. (Krista) Seibel, Lisa (Von) Huffaker, and Lori (Mike) Finley, grandchildren, Jen (Chris) Shinn, Mike (Jamie) Lukey, Nick (Alex), Scott, and Kate Seibel, Matt (Anna), Sam (Pam), and Ian Huffaker, Jacob and Liz (Erica) Finley, great-grandchildren, Kylie, Emily, and Whitney Shinn, James and Addyson Lukey, Emory and Everett Seibel, Kennedy, Wesley, and Hayden Huffaker. She is also survived by her loving brother, Henry (Buck) Fischer, as well as many nieces and nephews. Grace will be mostly remembered for her many years of preparing Sunday dinners, holiday celebrations, birthdays, and impromptu family gatherings. She accompanied many of her grandchildren to doctors, dentists, and orthodontist appointments as well as school functions. She loved to read and work crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Fiercely strong and independent, but loving and caring, she lived on her own for the past 32 years since the death of her husband. Burial will take place at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, Ohio, at a private service.
