Obituary of Kenneth "Ken" Anders

ANDERS, HAROLD KENNETH (KEN) passed away on October 25, 2024 in Madeira, Ohio. Born on February 26, 1934 to James Oakley and Nettie Anders in Keavey, KY. Survived by his wife of 70 years, Nancy (Hopkins) Anders, children Mark Anders (Karen), Steven Anders (Anne) and Barry Anders (Jennifer); grandchildren Kelly Hoctor (Nick), Stacy Anders, Ryan Anders (Cheryl) , Christopher Anders (Ashley), Scott Anders (Mary), Noah Anders (Amanda), Katie Turner (Jon), Benjamin Anders, Naomi Anders and Claire Anders; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother (Paul Anders), a sister (Jeanne Stevens) and a great-grandson (Weston Anders). Ken attended the University of Cincinnati, and Deer Park High School (Class of 1953), where he is a member of the Hall of Fame. Ken retired from the Xomox Corporation, but went on to pursue his love of carpentry, remodeling and building, sharing his skills with his sons. Ken loved being with his family, laughing and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and Nancy traveled extensively with family and dear friends throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. His family will remember his love and loyalty, his kindness and willingness to guide and help with any project. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 6th at 11:00 AM immediately followed by the memorial service at 12:00 PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Ken’s life can be made to Queen City Hospice, 4605 Duke Drive Suite 200 Mason, OH 45040.
