Obituary of Richard F. Busemeyer
BUSEMEYER
Richard "Rich" Francis Busemeyer was born in Cincinnati, OH on February 24th, 1947, to Francis J. and Maryanne (nee Hansbauer) Busemeyer. He attended grade school at St. John's Catholic School and was a 1965 graduate of Archbishop Moeller High School where he was a member of the honor society. He went on to become an electrician, contracted by P&G, and spent his career working on the development and integration of electrical and control systems for production equipment on product and packaging initiatives. He was also heavily involved in training the electrical engineers that were new to P&G and very well respected by his colleagues throughout his career.
Rich married Sandra “Sandi” Sue (nee Cornett) on April 10th, 1971, and together they had three children, Carrie A., Chad R., and Nathan W. Busemeyer. They moved to Loveland, OH in 1975 and built a beautiful life for their three children. He enjoyed coaching his children in various sports when they were young. He also enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours each week working to maintain a beautiful lawn. He was always there for his children and wife to offer guidance, support, and encouragement no matter the challenges they faced. Richard took great care of Sandi, after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in May 2020, until she passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2023.
Rich was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren, Zachary C., Alec R., and Anna G. Carpenter and Paxton N. and Nolan W. Busemeyer. He was involved in every aspect of their lives and passionate about supporting them in all endeavors. He was the eldest brother to 8 siblings and the uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed.
Richard passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 76, after a 3-month battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer.
In keeping with Richard's wishes, a celebration of his legacy will be held on January 19th, 2024, between 5pm-8pm, at The Landing Event Center, 119 Karl Brown Way, Loveland, OH, 45140.
