Obituary of David G. Wuest

DAVID GEORGE WUEST David G., beloved husband of 57 years to Ingrid J. (nee Ullberg), cherished father of Tom (Karen) Wuest, Lisa (Mike) Zimmermann, and Sara (Steve) Harris. Devoted grandfather of Isaiah and Arbutus Wuest, Cole, Ali, and Miles Zimmermann, and Joseph, Grace, and Anna Jane Harris. Preceded in death by his parents George A. and Alberta B. Wuest of Madisonville. David graduated from Withrow High School (1958), where he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball and singing in a doo-wop group. He later graduated from the UC College of Engineering and then worked professionally as a civil engineer at GBBN for nearly 25 years before establishing his business, Site Engineering Services, in Mariemont. David was a family man above all, and he loved music, reading, and his two beagles. He found joy in volunteering as a coach and commissioner for Mariemont youth sports, including SAY soccer, baseball, and softball. He was known for teaching sportsmanship and coaching through positive encouragement. His kindness and generosity were known by many, most particularly his family, neighbors, and friends. David passed away on August 11 th at the age of 83. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 15 th from 12:30-1:30 PM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236). Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
