Obituary of Curtis "Curt" L. Baggette

BAGGETTE Curtis L., beloved husband of Carolyn (nee Stimac), cherished father of Janis McGraw and Amanda Baggette. Devoted grandfather of Allison McGraw, Maddie, Brian, and Avery Bell. He is the loving brother of Linda Newton, of Gilbertsville, KY. Curt was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Mary Louise Baggette, and sister Cecilia Joiner. Curt was born in Paducah, KY and joined the U.S. Navy out of high school. He served in the navy for four years, as an HM3 Hospital Corpsman 3rd class. After serving his country in active duty, he went on to graduate from Baptist College of Charleston (now called Charleston Southern University). After his service in the U.S. Navy, he went on to work for General Electric for 33 years. Curt passed away in his home on Wednesday, April 14th, after a six-year battle with Alzheimer’s. He was 73. His family will welcome friends at a visitation on Wednesday, April 21st from 9-11AM at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236). Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12Noon at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd. (45249). Inurnment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Alzheimer’s Research, 22512 Gateway Center Dr., Clarksburg, MD (20871-1950) or Crossroads Hospice, 4380 Glendale-Milford Rd. (45242).
