Thelma M. (nee Palmer), beloved wife of the late Robert Messerschmitt, cherished mother of Judy Long, Jim (Sandy) Messerschmitt, Jerry Messerschmitt, Janet Corder, Joyce (Jim) Haussermann, John (Diane) Messerschmitt and Jeff Messerschmitt, devoted grandmother of Kristi (Dan) Guilfoyle, Jenni (Rich) Coleman, Brian Messerschmitt, Carrie (Mike) DuMont, Jade (Wes) Benner, Marie Corder, Jamie (Mike) Hooven, Bobby Haussermann, Eric Messerschmitt, Rachel (Mollie Corson) Messerschmitt, Gregory (Tori) Messerschmitt and Jeffery Messerschmitt, loving great-grandmother of Olivia, Cassi and Thomas Guilfoyle, Gabi and Juli Coleman, Madalyn Messerschmitt, Ty and Casey DuMont, Liam Benner, Natalie Hooven, Hope Dean Risch and Isabella Messerschmitt, Calliope Messerschmitt, Ramona and Elgin Corson , Stella and Hudson Messerschmitt. Dear sister of the late Robert (Mary Lou) Palmer and the late Carol (Robert) Dettmer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Matilda (nee Zender) Palmer. Thelma went to nursing school immediately upon graduating high school and worked her entire career as a nurse, working at Good Samaritan, Daly Park Nursing Care. She was the Director of Nursing, at Memorial Hospital (now Jewish Hospital). Thelma passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 22nd at the age of 97. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, January 25th from 10AM until 12Noon, at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd, (45236) Kenwood. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Milford.
