Obituary of Jeanne Pelley

Jeanne L. (Haley) Pelley was born in Medford, Mass. on March 5, 1926 but soon moved to West Roxbury, Mass. where she attended Boston Public Schools K-12. This included the Girls Latin School in which she graduated in 1943. Then she went on to graduate with a Bachelor Degree in Education from Framingham State Teachers college in 1947. She married Raymond Wilfred Pelley on June 30, 1947 and moved to Cincinnati, where he was employed by Proctor & Gamble. On November 19, 1951 she became the proud parent of her only child Raymond Wilfred Pelley Jr. (aka Rip). She began teaching English at Sycamore High School in 1961 and retired in 1991. She chaired the 1968 Junior/Senior Prom and also the First National Honor Society from 1968-1973. She received her Master’s degree from Xaivier University in 1965. She leaves behind her beloved son Rip (Nikki) Pelley and her only grandson Matthew (Vicky) Pelley, and dear friends of over 50 years, Rick and Trish Bryan and Family. Also, her dear friend Fran Holzschuh and Family. Visitation will be held on March 19 from 11:30AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, 12Noon, at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 7754 Montgomery Rd. (45236). Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
